Inspiring Teaching Series: Gospel Methodology in the Classroom
Join us November 6, for the next installment of our series exploring Inspiring Teaching Series: Gospel methodology in the Classroom. Professor Rex P. Nielson, director of the BYU Humanities Center and professor of Spanish and Portuguese, will discuss Oscar Wilde’s age-old provocation that life imitates art far more than art imitates life. Drawing from a series of classroom case studies, he will examine some of the spiritual implications of empathic reading in our search for truth.
The third lecture in the Fall series will be presented by Rex P. Nielson is Professor of Spanish and Portuguese and Director of the BYU Humanities Center. His research and teaching interests include literary and cultural studies, most recently in relation to the fields of environmental humanities, pedagogy, and translation studies.
