Cultivating Virtue: General Education Academy 2025

What does it mean to be open-minded, compassionate, creative, meek, temperate, and full of integrity? How do we cultivate these virtues in ourselves and our students’ learning?

If you were inspired by the intellectual virtues you learned about at GE Academy, we want to know how you will apply what you learned. General Education is looking for examples of how you will incorporate a specific intellectual virtue or virtues into one of the following areas of your upcoming GE class:

  • Lesson Outlines
  • Assignments
  • Activities
  • Assessments

Share an example of how you updated part of your GE curriculum to integrate intellectual virtues, and we’ll feature your work on the GE website and give you $50. Submit your course revision to GE by August 1.
