The General Education Program is administered by the Dean of Undergraduate Education and the administrative assistant for general education. The Dean reports to the Associate Academic Vice President—Undergraduate Studies. The Faculty General Education Council, consisting of 13 faculty members (one from every college) decides which courses to accept and retain under General Education guidelines established by the University administration. Each academic college has a General Education coordinator who promotes general education in the college.
